Tomaz,

Thank you for this post. I have held a similar position for a year now and have struggled within a system that prefers to see the quantity of teachers "trained" rather than the quality of teachers that have been "professionally developed". I have found that one-on-one and small group sessions dictated by the interests of the participants have been far more effective than the mass mandated planning period sessions culminating in screenshot handouts.

Very nice video celebrating the school's progress! Thanks for sharing the idea - I think I will use it this year. Also, thanks for sharing the 70/20/10 idea as I hope to be able to put that into practice, too. Wondering how this might connect with Kim Cofino's cycle of collaboration...

Tomaz
In my 3 short months of web2.0 learning, this is THE post I have been searching for. Yep I nodded, repeatedly. Thats my place, my concerns, my great colleagues, my issues, our future. I love it and will use it. Now, I just need a better nom de plume than "wannabe newbie know nothing" for I am a titleless CT just doing his best to learn, engage and inform our staff of the possibilities out there. Love your work Human.

Arrrrggghh not a ict integrator. Don't worry I had a funnier title I was "Head of Innovations and Teaching Coach" it was my dream job working with teachers on personalising learning. We worked through Hargreaves nine gateways one of which is ICT. I found the biggest gap was in student voice as you may tell by my frequent rants ! Asking students is where it is at ! There is no doubt about it. When we move past the tools to the heart of education then we will see a shift and it is great you are beginning to see that shift.
Yay !

Fantastic video. Really highlighting how your staff are not just using Moodle, but using it more than just as a repository, but as new way of engaging their students digitally.

I would love to show this to some of my staff if thats OK with you.

I think public recognition and promotion of the successes by front line teachers makes all the difference in promoting ICT tools in the classroom. These are the teachers with street credibility. If they're using the new tools with positive results for them and their students, then their colleagues will know the tools work in real life under real conditions. Cheers.
